Gibson 1934 F-7 Mandolin

Excellent plus condition - This is the cleanest F-7 we have ever encountered and is all original with possibly the bridge being the exception. It shows very little playing wear and even the pickguard is intact with no issues. The sunburst finish is smooth with just a few checks that are hardly visible. Conforms to 1934 catalog specs with Spruce top, highly figured Chocolate brown finish Maple back & sides, Mahogany neck, single bound body, neck, pickguard and peghead, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with fancy inlay similar to Nick Lucas guitar and Fleur-De-Lis headstock inlay. Beautiful warm open tone with impressive power, clarity along with a serious chop at any position, and the more it is played, the more it opens up. Made between 1934 thru 1939 and is the same model Bill Monroe used until he bought his fabled 1923 F-5 in 1945. Rarer than a Loar, these do not show up very often and one in this condition is even a rarer find. Comes with original red lined formed fit hard case with some case candy.
